allfords2737
I have 2 trunk handles that may be for Packards. 1. This handle is real nice, (maybe NOS), with the original key. The Briggs & Stratton key code is P1290, which should be for a Packard. 2. The small locking lever handle has a new key and looks nice and functions as it should. it has a tag on it that reads, "1948 Packard deck". Can anyone help identify the application for these handles? allfords2737
Thanks for identifying the small lever lock. Would you know where the larger "T" handle is used? The shaft is quite short.
flackmaster
the T handle is similar to the 1940 decklid, but the eschution is different.
Packard Don
Did 1940 use a t-handle? I thought the last year for it was 1939 and that 1940 moved to the vertical handle with the license plate holder and light built-in, or did certain body styles maintain the older t-handle handle? In any event, the one here does not look Packard to me.
