Was laying in bed the other night and thought about the Fall Hershey meet and wondered if I sent in my renewal. I asked the wife and she said she hadn't done it yet. It is ready to mail today, so I thought I would remind everyone that "FALL MEET HERSHEY FLEA MARKET RENEWALS ARE DUE BY FEBRUARY 17, 2016!!!!"

Thought this post would be better in the general posting area.

Mailed mine today, looking forward to my 47th in a row, there has never been a bad Hershey. Bob

As a seller you may be correct although my seller friends tell me different. But as a buyer some have been much better than others! To many it is becoming difficult to substantiate the expenses involved. I am sorry to say but EBay is putting Hershey in a bac.k seat. Wayne

For me I have never have had a bad day at Hershey as a buyer. The day I do not find a part I am looking for I look at it as a holiday adventure. So how can I go wrong. As for EBay I am pretty well wend off it since EBay started there Shipping Service Program raising all the shipping prices.

Hershey is what you make of it. I've arrived just about broke, arrived with lots of play money and found little to buy. Slept in the van and The Hershey Lodge. Sold parts to Bill Harrah and Jack Nethercutte, and lots to Joe Average. Bought Bugatti parts, sold Bugatti parts, Bought and sold far more Ford parts. Sold stuff I couldn't sell on eBay, bought stuff I later sold on eBay.  PLUS you get to see all your friends you see once a year, and remember the ones that are always  there in spirit.  Bob

I agree with all said but my flight for two, accommodation, meals, incidentals, admission and shipping fees usyally add up to $3000 plus. Obviously I don't sleep in a van. Wayne

After reading your what I consider an attack against the Hershey Fall Meet and the AACA in general are you the same "Al Capone" that due to health issues last year possibly the year prior requested the assistance of "anyone" to find parts at Hershey?

Obviously you do not sleep in a van...good for you Al... (until you plea for assistance to find a part at Hershey down the road).

By the way there are "no admission fees" to any AACA Meets.

1937hd (Bob):  Great response!

Until needed again Al we will continue to assist you even if the parts you need are not found.

Yes I am the same AlCapone. I have been a long time supporter of Hershey and I was being realistic. I find your criticism. Unwarranted with you being n the pisition you are. Are you trying to say that if a person does not agree with you he can not express an opinion. In my opinion you owe me an apology for your unjust remarks. Wayne

Oh, I forgot, I've given parts to kids, and smashed others in front of those that give super low ball offers. Its all part of five days of Hershey fun. Bob

Bob, your comment reopened an old memory. Years ago I had two gentlemen approach my stuff and was in my box of headlight lenses. One picked up a pair and said to his friend " these are the ones I have been looking for" . They were priced at $15 for the pair. He indicated that was not a fair price and offered me $5 for both (I would have taken $10 for both). His manners were somewhat lacking and had a I'm better - than - you attitude - you know what I mean! Anyway I took one of the lenses and tossed it into ythe next vendors space. He really got mad and was cussing me out, saying you don't know what you just did to a rare piece. I then tossed the 2nd one next door.! I told him I got more enjoyment from his reactions than receiving $15. Those who had gathered supported what I had done.

I never found out what the lenses were for and their real value.

You did good. Hershey serves a valuable purpose but it is not to rob the vendors. After all they have done you a favor. Wayne
