1965 Fisher Body data plate help

I need some help in figuring out how the Fisher Body data plate codes are stamped for 1964 and 1965 Rivieras that have both power windows and power vents.

I need a description of a 1965 data plate from a car that has BOTH power windows and power vents.

I'd also like  the same from cars with similar situations for a 1964.  Data plate information from a car that has BOTH power windows and power vents.

I think that 1964 and 1965 Rivieras share the same codes, but I'd like examples of each to be sure.

I'm trying to update some info for the ROA's website.

You can either do as I've done below or send a picture.

From my 1965 equipped with power windows and manual vents - data plate: EXS-2KR-3B-45-5KW.

From my 1964 equipped with power windows and manual vents - data plate: EX - 2K - 4F - 5WK.

I know that the X is the code for power windows.  I need to know the code for power windows and power vents.  It might be an additional code for the power vents, or it could be unique code for both power windows and power vents.

Thanks in advance,

Ed

I am going with N as the code for Power Vent Windows. I was looking at Cadillac option codes and they used X for Power Windows and N for Power Vents. Here's a link to a '65 that was on eBay that appears to have Power Vents. The armrest console is missing, but there is not a window crank in the door panel. It has an N on the data plate.

'64 with Power Vents. No N.

Thanks everyone.

Unlike the '63 then.  In '63, on the window sticker there is a code U6 code for power windows and a U7 code for power vents.  On the data plate, a U8 is stamped indicating both.  I'm only posting this as an FYI.

Hopefully I can get the webmaster to update the ROA's website shortly to reflect this as well as some additional things that have been learned since that list was first published; like the 3B and 3T codes as well as a recently uncovered 5G.  All this info can be found if you search this forum for it.

Slight thread drift, but on a 65, does 2KR signify a/c AND a rear seat speaker?

Yep.  Group 1 does not have the group number preceding the letter code, but groups 2 - 5 do.  So in your case, in group 2, you have K the a/c and R the rear seat speaker.

Thanks for your help. I joined the ROA yesterday, and I'm new to these cars, but I've wanted a 65 literally all my life, so I'm trying to absorb as much info as possible.

Between the ROA and this forum, you're bound to find an answer for any question you may have.  Congratulations on acquiring the car of your dreams and joining the ROA.

We're having out annual meet in Colonial Williamsburg, VA the last week in June this year.  Hope to see you there.  More info will be at hand when you get your Riview.  Taking your car to one of these meets, will give you a chance to ask first hand questions about it.  Last year there was a program instituted where you could have your car scrutinized by an "expert" and he would point out any of the little things that would help you get your car back into original condition (if that's your intent.)  I have not heard whether or not that program will be offered again this year.  But, the annual events are still a great place to spend 4 or 5 days with a bunch of guys who share the same passions that you do.  We're looking forward to meeting you there.

Thanks Eric,

I've seen enough of them now to confirm that the N is for the power vents.  Thanks to you and everyone else who helped me with this.  Now for another request.  Anyone have a '64, more likely a '65, with a 5G code on it?  I found some info that indicates that this is the Fisher Body code for factory installed rear seat belts.  If anyone has what they think are factory installed rear belts in their car AND has a stamped code of 5G on the data plate, please forward the information to me.

Thanks in advance,

Ed
