Guest stewedoff Posted February 7, 2016 Share Posted February 7, 2016 Hi I have a 51 Desoto custom, starts fine drives okay then when you stop it wont start? nothing, lights etc but nothing else, leave it for 10 maybe 15 minutes starts on the button, has anyone got any idea's what is breaking down? or have they had a similar problem Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
keiser31 Posted February 7, 2016 Share Posted February 7, 2016 (edited) I had a bad coil that did that very same thing to me. It was in a 1949 Dodge. Guest Old Dodge Posted February 7, 2016 Share Posted February 7, 2016 Try inspecting and cleaning your battery cables, both ends of each. If you're running 6 volts make sure you don't have any skinny 12 volt cables. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
