Six way power seat, 1956 Roadmaster

Greetings, Had a feeling my 1956 Roadmaster six way power seat frame might fit in my friends 1950 Cadd series 61 2dr ht. Wow! Almost a bolt in. We measured 55" center to center of the adjustable brackets that bolt to the floor. He had already unbolted the seat and taken it out of the car. We loaded my six way frame up and took it to test fit in his '50 Cadd. It laid right down in the car with a very slight elongation, slotting, of the mounting holes. The Cadd seat frame bottom bolt holes without the cushion on it line up perfectly with the holes that bolted the Buick cushion frame on. The only additional modification is four 1/2" nuts or other spacers between the two frames to raise the cushion frame up off the round pipe that connects the motor on the driver's side to the passenger side to adjust both sides with an electric motor only on the driver's side. Long story short, since he already converted to 12 volts, he could use, possibly, the '56 power frame under his stock '50 seat. The benefit for Buick folks is to know they could also easily put a very adjustable '56 power seat in the '50-'53 Supers or Roadmaster without having to worry about useing hydraulic seats with only forward and back power movement and potential for fluid leaks on expensive interiors. If your an orthodox purist, nevermind, this is for people seeking near infinite adjustability, back and forth up and down and tilt, might just be way easier on my old body on the long drives! Pictures to follow soon. PS clears the underseat heaterpost-102998-0-30044900-1454812295_thumb.post-102998-0-18685400-1454812494_thumb.
