Not so. The later heads are a much more square profile. If I recall correctly it would be 25-early 26 to be correct. But, yes, late 22 to early 27 will bolt on. Some 24's still had primer cups, late 26 was 6 volt and had a boss to mount the coil on right front. I may have one, where are you located?

Jay, I love your roadster!

I live in okla. the casting number on the head is A-16147 . I have been looking for a head for 3 or 4 years my head is cracked on the out side and I have tried 2 kinds of stop leak but the crack keeps getting longer if you would like I can send some pictures.  if your head is a match let me know how much you want for it . I will pay any shipping. 312 tbird

it looks like you don't need my advice anymore since you won the auction but I thought I would put in my 2 cents worth. In the Forces, and. I believe in the civilian aircraft industry,we used to stop crack creep by drilling a small hole right at the end of the crack.this disperses the forces in a circle and there is not enough left to keep the crack going. Works like a charm on cylinder heads. You can then use

j b weld to close it up and make it waterproof.
