MrEarl
Frank, I just recently acquired a '38 Special and am not that familiar with the mid to late 30's parts and possible interchange. Do you by chance have any Master Parts books for sell or do you know what of the parts you have for sale might fit and be correct for a 38? Frank Wilkie
I don't think it will work on a 38 but I'll check my parts book to see if it will.
Frank Wilkie
According to the parts book, the part number of course is different due to the year difference.. I recalled that when I started the disassembly of my 36 century buick it had a 1939 40 series master cylinder bolted to it but wasn't mounted in all the holes as the original but it worked. I purchased a used 36 MC and sent it off to Apple Hydraulics for the rebuilt... My guess, it could work but not original but you make the decision.
1937-44
If I remember correctly in 1937 the Specials and the Centurys the studs were on opposite sides of the master cylinder because it mounted on the opposite side of the frame.
