flyntgr
Packards42, I re-read the original post, and see that you just bought the head in 1990. What do you know about its suitability for the 359 engine?
Joe Block
Yes It fits. 359 heads are hard to find. the brown one as I recall. A good friend advertised his as the same. 288,356,327, 359. I checked with some other knowledgeable Packard guys and they confirmed the head does fit a 359. . Does you thunderbolt have a 4 barrel Carbs manifold. If not I have Edmund dual carb manifold for the same years. and I know the manifold interchange as well. . as my friend use a later 4 barrel carb on his 42 Packard convertible. . the 4 barrel is probably a better setup. but the twin carb are cool. Highlander160
Did you ever sell the head or manifold? I may have a friend that has interest in both or perhaps just the manifold. It would go on a 41 160 Bus Cpe. Yes, a real one, not a club missing the back seat
Joe Block
no, there both still available. that would be sweet on a 160. Edited April 14, 2017 by packards42 (see edit history)
