ILIKECARS53
Very nice car. A real classic certified by the Classic Car Club of America. Would be a very worthwhile project.
suchan
With all the water staining in the interior, you wonder how it was stored, and the effect on the wood framing in the body. Certainly an expensive restoration, maybe very expensive.
smithbrother
Depending on WHAT IT TAKES TO BUY, I could restore and keep price down, I would only need to farm out interior work, but I have to much going on right now. Will be a cool piece for someone that either has DEEP POCKETS, or personal good skills/equipment. Dale in Indy
Pete Phillips
Strange, how the front seat is black leather or vinyl on the bottom and cloth on the top. Maybe the bottom half was redone? That interior would be a very expensive re-do. Every single panel or piece in it needs redoing, but at least it is the original stuff, so you can see how it goes back. Looks like the car sat outdoors in the weather for decades, given the condition of the glass. "70 Years of Buick" gives the production as 709 for domestic sales. First year for hydraulic brakes, first year for the 320 engine. Pete Phillips, BCA #7338 Leonard, TX
1939_Buick
With divider the black leather seat may be original Is the engine 1936? Has a stepped intake manifold and the oil dip stick is at the back. The temperature gauge tube out ot the (cut?) spark plug cover does not right [may be it is?] The add does state "all four doors on bottom have some rust. missing center hood molding, missing rope and straps below divider window, missing foot rest on floor. All four doors needs new wood." Likely more wood than just the doors will be needed.
