Brad in Wisconsin
found these 4 hubcaps on junk wire wheels on a farm flat rack What year are they and are they worth removing??? Thanks Brad
1912Staver
The knock off nuts{ what you are calling hubcaps} are of value but so are all the other parts . The wheel rims look like they are junk, however the wheel hubs are probably savable and the all important axle hubs {the part the nut screws in to} . Buy the whole thing ! Who knows even the axle might be savable depending on how messed up it became during the trailer conversion. Auburn wire wheel parts are definitely of value. The nuts are probably worth less than the hubs. Be sure the wagon isn't built on an Auburn frame, if it is then the whole wagon is of value. Ask the farmer if any other parts are still on the farm, the rest of the car might still be there pushed in a gully decades ago. keiser31
That rim in the photo looks to be half rotted away....
Curti
I believe the knock off's are 28-30, and have been reproduced. What Greg says is true !!!

Dave Henderson
Good luck if the rims are in frozen dirt. I once tried to jack up wheels in the dead of winter from a P1 Rolls Royce chassis that had sunk into the ground. It was just like them being set in concrete. After breaking three jacks it became all too clear that waiting for the spring thaw was the way to go.
Dave Henderson
If frozen in and the rims are no good, and if you don't want to risk losing the opportunity to acquire the parts, you could cut the spokes and salvage the desirable parts now. Brad in Wisconsin
Ok so i drive the 30 or so miles to this old lady's place, battle the burr docks jack em out off mud, cut off the junk rims and spokes off and pay to get rid rubber tires and end up with 4 caps, 4 hubs, 4 spindles nuts small etc. whats it worth??? there is some work involved in this . 1912Staver
Ebay or a advert here is your best bet. Axle hubs generally about $150.00 each , wheel hubs $50.00- $100.00 each depending on how rusty, knock off nuts $50.00- $100.00 each ; yours are pretty beat up. Should bring close to $1000.00 for the whole set. Might be more on ebay, just depends on who needs them, if two people are looking who knows.Greg in Canada

Curti
I wish you the best of luck Brad. Maybe open up the pumpkin and see what is in there. Maybe a good ring and pinion.
