lincolnmatthews
Just wondering, I imagine that its next to impossible to find an outside drivers side mirror?? Anybody have one & how much. Current owner stated that they were listed in the Kanter catalog but were really just waiting for enough orders to warrant having them made, (they never did). So they must be difficult to find. It appears to be a solid car, probably will pay a little more than its worth, but that's what do "buy high & sell low" (always has worked for me) Also should have the carpets replaced (I know you can't find the original material) maybe from Bill Hersh? to get close. Anyway thank you again!
Packard Don
You could always use one of the clip-on mirrors until you locate a proper one. They simply attach to the door edge and do no damage to the car while keeping it legal.
Owen_Dyneto
Dwight Heinmuller has reproductions of the Packard accessory sideview mirrors for the 1942 Clipper (and later models). You might ask him what if anything is different about the Packard accessory for the 41 Clipper. A friend just bought a set for his 1948 Custom 8, they are very good quality. Guest bkazmer
I think all 41-47 Clippers and the 22nd series use the same long neck mirror that fits into the valley of the belt trim. They are hard to find but they are long repro'd as OD noted. If that's the toughest Packard part you need to find it's an easy car.
lincolnmatthews
Well I guess I'm a new owner of the 41 Clipper! (Won the Ebay Auction for what that's worth) anyway had a long conversation with the owner last night seems like a straight shooter & honest guy. Belongs to the AARC from Des Moines, seems like a decent car. Now I just have to ship it out to the PNW. Maybe I should start a new thrd but I'm thinking a enclosed rig versus open? what do you guys think? any suggestions? Usually I'd have a little remorse already, but I'm feeling excited about the Clipper! who cares about today's world buy what you want within reason of course!
