There are two long 37's one is restored and one is original but nearly perfect as an original not pictured. stakeside
Hello I received these as part of a Dodge brothers emblem collection from 1930 - 1939 and I am not sure of the year and models these emblems were originally on. Thank you for your help! Two are professionally restored and two are not the 1st one says NOS on the back. Thank you AgainIst one top row is a match to my 29 DB "E" series truck. Check my profile for photos.

Guest DodgeKCL
The bottom left hand 2 and the one in your hand: It appears that the larger 2 are the same?? They appear to be '33 DP . Also fit '33 HC 1/2 ton truck and '34/'35 KC 1/2 ton truck.(mine) The smaller of the 2 in the left hand photo is most likely off the spare tire in '33. I don't think the trucks had emblems on their spares but I could stand corrected. Edited September 6, 2015 by DodgeKCL (see edit history)
keiser31
The ram ornament is late 1931 to 1934 depending on what the underside looks like. Is it for sale?
Scott Bonesteel
Agree with Keiser on the ram hood ornament. The horn button in the same photo is 37 or 38 Dodge. The last photo is probably a trunk lid ornament for a 35. The similar ones in the other photo are grille shell 33-34 and the flatter one is spare cover or trunk rack, same years. 30dodgedd6
The one in my hand is a 33 the other two are 34 and 35 each has a different curve to it so the fit the shell flush. They say on the back collector marked those. The ram I think is a 34 there is only a nut and the radiator part is gone. The smaller winged ones has a number 36, 37,38 and the big wings are trunk emblems no years written. I was told the round one by the ram is a 36 Horn button? I have another it is a "Dodge 6" with chromed/Nickel wings with Blue Glass Not Pictured. I think that's a 28-29? The only one left I am not certain of is the second picture Gold Dodge Bothers DB any ideas Truck is correct I haven't found a model or year picture example yet. Thank you Everyone! 1936 D2
Yes. The one in the first shot is the horn button cover plate for 1936. It should have three tabs on the back if it is nice. The second photo emblem year I am not sure. It is not '36. Could be 1935? But the "USA" across the bottom is a sure indicator that this one is for "Export" vehicles only. The big wings are from a trunk lid. Again, without measurements of the studs on the back, can't be sure of the year(s) but you are very close with '36 '37 '38. Good luck! 30dodgedd6
Thank you ! There is three tabs on the back but the rubber is hard and chipped. On the back of the winged USA it has 37 written on it.
dodgedh2
I believe the first two are for trucks. Third item is 1931 Dodge DG8 and/or 1932 Dodge DL6. 30dodgedd6
Ok! I sent you an Email Keiser31 what does the D G stand for Dodge Graham Brothers? Lots of subtle differences amongst the models! I would like to see a video on how they get the glass in the wings and no were else !
keiser31
The "DG" is simply a model designation. It did not really stand for anything else. 1929 Started using the DA and DB model numbers and through the years went to DC, DD, DH, DG, DK, DL, DM, etc.... Ian_Greenlaw
The glass in the wings is done by a process called Cloisonne. I've never seen it done but I'm sure there is something floating around on u tube.Nice collection of emblems I must say.
dodgedh2
Thanks Keiser. My emblem is about the same shape and I got a '32 DH (late '31) parts car that still had remnants of the gold on the inner wing, so I wasn't sure whether it was supposed to be there on the DH or not. 30dodgedd6
I have decided to sell the emblem collection but I am not certain of there value considering most are restored and a few are not. So I am currently researching that now. I may provide a price list later. I have been quoted $400-600 labor to restore a 33 Dodge emblem which I own. I am considering very serious offers on all or individual emblems. I also can accept Pay Pal, Cashiers check or money order. I always pack well. track and insure all I sell. I can provide you better pictures and description of each. Just send me an email, call or Text which ever you prefer. Taylormade
I'm not sure who quoted you that price, but I have had several of similar size done and never paid more than $300, and that was for a really bad one.
30dodgedd6
I received a quote from a Dodge Brothers Member in the DB Forum. Who have you used before? I have some that need to be restored also. I would like to be fair and make the adjustments in what I am thinking they are worth. Thank you! 30dodgedd6
Most of these are very hard to find especially as group, restored or NOS. I have been told it may cost you as much as $300 to restore one emblem. I have also been quoted between $400 - $600 for a restoration. I would prefer to sell these as a collective group. However I may consider separation if their is enough individual interest! I would appreciate your best offer please. I can provide More detailed pictures at your request! idrjoe_sandiego
I have another it is a "Dodge 6" with chromed/Nickel wings with Blue Glass Not Pictured. I think that's a 28-29? A "Dodge 6" with chromed/Nickel wings with Blue Glass"...Are you referring to your item labeled Photo 9 - which IS pictured ? If so, I think you are correct, it is from a 1929-30 DA. I believe originally it was copper with the blue/black Cloisonne (see the beat up one on my car). So what you have pictured there is a highly unoriginal "hotrodded" version of a 1929-30 DA emblem. Essentially this has been ruined and is virtually worthless. That said, actually I love it, you did some amazing work and any time you are ready to part with it, let me know. (I hope you know I am kidding you about ruining it!) EDIT- Sorry, I get it now. You actually have two 1929 DA badges: 1) Photo 9 restored (no mount) pictured and 2) "Photo 8" (not shown) of an unrestored badge with a mount. Can you show the unrestored one-front and back? On second thought, the one without mounts may not be worth much. Try mounting that to the radiator without the posts- tough action. (epoxy, maybe?). Better yet, try adding posts after the cloisonne is done. No way to solder new posts on now without ruining the chrome and all your fine work. This may be an item best suited to someone collecting badges rather than installing them on a car. 30dodgedd6
Nice! I have only seen a nickel plated emblems never a copper emblem. My last 30 emblem off my car was nickel also. The Dodge six I have is used and one is restored without the retainer. I have seen emblems held on with double sided tape. I have had one on my jeep for 15 years and its tested tuff! I think solder would hold without affecting the nickel. I will leave that up to the future owner of these. All of the emblems were copper plated prior to the chrome plating and most have the chrome worn off down to the copper.
