R Holden
Hi all I'm hoping someone can assist with adjusting an up draft Stromberg carbie, we've had it off to clean as it had rubbish in the fuel and can't seem to get it to run smooth again. Can't get it to idle at all. We checked the timing and spark (just in case) which is all good, but can't get it to run properly, can someone please advise the start position of the lower needle valve (I started at one turn off its seat) and the auxiliary air valve? And any thing else we should check or adjust, thanks This is on a 1915 Cole V8 and it was running fine till the rubbish in the carbie All help appreciated

Guest AlCapone
Have you removed the gas tank and lines and thoroughly flushed or steamed them. An ounce of energy here saves a ton of effort later. Wayne
