Guest Legend-30
I have a 1966 Buick Electra 225 Custom Sport Coupe. Its a 2 door hardtop. These cars are somewhat rare as only about 3,000 were made. This car has the original 401 ci motor in it. This car has been in the family for 3 generations so it has been taken good care of. It is rust free and has been garaged most of its life. It is mostly original, but has been repainted. The carb needs cleaned out and a belt or two whine, but other than that the car is in great condition. ASKING $18,000.CALL OR EMAIL IF YOU HAVE ANY MORE QUESTIONS. SERIOUS INQUIRIES ONLY. John_S_in_Penna
In repainting, was the color changed? If so, what was the original color?
Guest Legend-30
I know its a bit pricey but the car has been preserved fairly well and and been taken very good care of. The number I have listed is simply an asking price and can be negotiated. @Matt HarwoodAnd yes, the color was changed. The car was originally a dark blue-green. @John_S_in_Penna

John_S_in_Penna
Mr. Legend, you're certainly conscientious about keeping the ad re-posted. I hope you sell your car. Have you considered a site that may get more exposure? The magazine Hemmings Motor News and its accompanying website www.hemmings.com are excellent. Also, the magazine of the Buick Club of America will reach all the die-hard Buick fans. Checking a price guide or two, and accurately judging your car's condition based on the price guides' descriptions so you can price it according to the market, will help you sell it. John_S_in_Penna
A useful price guide book is: http://www.amazon.com/2016-Collector-Car-Price-Guide/dp/144024457X It's the annual book-format guide of Old Cars Report Price Guide, which is in magazine format every 2 months on newsstands. On the internet, www.hagerty.com has a pricing function. Hagerty is a major, well-respected insurer of antique cars. Also on the internet is www.nada.com, though they tend to be on the high side. They have a printed book also, where they admit they're high and explain that their prices are for all-original cars. All the best to you on your sale.
