Riviera owners: Please follow through when your problem is solved.

Fellow Riviera enthusiasts,

I've got a favor to ask each and every one of you who asks for help.  Here's the situation for which your help is needed.  Each issue of the Riview (the Riviera Owners bi-monthly magazine) usually contains Q&A (Questions and Answers) that are helpful to restoration and maintenance of all years of Rivieras built by Buick.  It used to be that a question would be printed in one issue and answers would be printed in the next issue.  Now that we have "instant gratification" via the internet, and in particular this AACA forum, the method of asking questions and getting responses has changed dramatically - all for the good.  But as you're probably aware, not everyone has access to the internet; those folks still depend on the Riview's Q&A for insight into restoration and maintenance advice.

It is getting more and more difficult to take these questions and their solutions from this forum and publish them in the Riview simply because there are so many situations where solutions are offered but there's no response from the person who posted the original thread stating that they tried all/one of the solutions and which solution best solved the problem.

Therefore I'm asking (pleading) with each you to respond to your original question when you come up with a solution that works.  Besides allowing the editor to publish this information for everyone to see, you'll also be giving the person who provided the solution a proper "thank you.”

Thanks,

Ed
