We must not forget Chevrolet's Bicentennial attempt. Why they did it in 1974 is beyond me

John348, you were wondering why Chevrolet made a

Bicentennial edition in 1974.  Though a Chevy executive

from the 1970's would know for sure, I can surmise:

The Bicentennial was a momentous event that was

celebrated for several years leading up to 1976.

Many historical events (say 1774, 1775) led up to our

Declaration of Independence.  For example, the U. S.

issued its first Bicentennial postage stamp in 1971, and

then other issues came out in subsequent years.

One would hear on TV in 1974 and 1975 brief public-service

messages titled "200 years ago today."  Wikipedia says that the

American Revolution Bicentennial Commission was formed

in 1966!

Never have forgotten those ... quite cool, I think, anyway.  And, love your Monza Mirage ... sweet!

Hope everyone had a great 4th of July holiday!
