pint4
Does anyone know if there are wing nuts sold by anyone that would work for a 1935 Buick Series 40 car? Bob's sell wing nuts for the "Big Series" but I didn't see anything for the 40 Series. Also wondering if anyone would know the thread size for the nuts the holds on the spark plug cover? Maybe I can source wing nuts locally. Thanks. pint4@new.rr.com
50jetback
The 40 Series motor uses dome nuts, not wing nuts as found on the larger series motors of 1934/35 Bobs sells the correct ones but lists them as 1936-39. He also lists 2 different sizes. From memory the smaller is for the spark plug cover and the larger for the rocker cover but check that with Bob. http://bobsautomobilia.com/shop/index.php?subcats=Y&status=A&pshort=Y&pfull=Y&pname=Y&pkeywords=Y&search_performed=Y&q=spark+plug&dispatch=products.search&page=3 Remember the 1934/35 Series 40 motor is a new design and basically the same as the 1936 Series 40 motor but is totally different to the larger series motors of 1934/35.
