moose50
This is my Fast Four speedster. It's a 27 DB chassis and early cowl, and be will outfitted with most of the Fast Four running gear. On the way from the Montana Dodge Boys, is a reground cam, aluminum high compression head, and a drilled crank for pressure oiling. The front axle is from a Durant Star and has mechanical front brakes to go along with the DB rear brakes. My plan is to get it ready enough to race at this year's Race of Gentlemen in Wildwood NJ, on the beach. Got a way to go still...
keiser31
Can't wait to see the progress on this one. The Montana Dodge Boys are definitely the way to go. Looking nice! Edited July 4, 2015 by keiser31 (see edit history)

boojoe
Off to a great start!!! My Studebaker only has rear brakes. I used a 4 - speed truck trans that has a e- brake on it .. Good luck and keep us posted
Steve_Mack_CT
ROG certainly looks like a cool event. Traditional hot rods are great but they need more speedster there!

moose50
One of my friends made that same comment as soon as I took the first pictures of the seat. Great minds... I have tentatively named it the "Front Row Speedster"

Spinneyhill
Good fun! It will be a blast blatting down a beach. But I hope you are prepared for the work afterwards. In my younger days I played on the beach and dunes on a trail bike. The main drive seal (triple lip) lasted 'til I got home then started to leak. The fork seals failed in short order. The chain lasted about 1000 km. max. Sand is extremely abrasive! Of course, today I would intend to take it apart and clean up the sand before using it again (if I didn't run out of bother first).
Spinneyhill
One more thing... compressed air gun will not remove the sand. It will blow it further into the seals. Learnt that the hard way too. My PhD project involved earthquake testing models constructed in and of fine sand. After I finished, the whole shaking table and all equipment inside the tent was dismantled and vacuumed thoroughly to get the sand out.
whtbaron
Nice ride! I'm all for the minimalist look, but you're gonna want a rad on there real soon! Sure beats sitting on a soft drink case and making engine noises though....

Ron Lawson
Sure don't look like a radiator overflow tank to me No color to the gasoline either What are you using Moonshine?
moose50
Yes, that's the gas. There's no color because it's empty. Funny you should mention moonshine, maybe I should give that a try...

Bob Scafani
Not that it matters but the body is later than 1915. The cowl was lower and the seat riser was lower in 1915.
