Hello looking to restore my 1937 pontiac and cannot find information on body tag paint and trim codes. Does anyone have a link to or know what the paint code 5d and trim code 41v mean? Ill try to upload a picture of the tag. Thank you!

my 1954 pontiac master parts catalog goes back to 1946 for paint code information, sorry, you might contact the early times chapter and see if your information needs can be taken care of, also you might contact arnold landvoigt, the 1937-1938 pontiac tech advisor in the pontiac oakland club international, he can reach at 301-498-0070, or email him at etc@hillclimber.com the early times chapter has a website, and is part of the pontiac oakland club international.

Everything I can find indicates that 5 is dolphin gray.  The d after the 5 means the fenders were painted body color.  Check out this color chart:
