Curti
Do you have documentation that the clocks for sale are indeed Auburn? Attached is the documentation that I have.
jcs2001
https://sites.google.com/site/identifyinginstrumentpanels/home/clocks-1 I use this site extensively in identifying clocks and instruments. While I haven't identified them independently, I have never found this site to be incorrect. It has been spot-on. I do know the mirror clocks pages you showed are non-proprietary clocks that were available for cars of many makes and models. these were made by Phinney Walker, New Haven etc. many thanks
Curti
The 34-36 clock directly under the pix is one I supplied to him along with other 34-36 Auburn gauges . jcs2001
Not at all. I have found that many car companies put these non-proprietary clocks in their brochures in the early-mid 30s. I think sometimes an optional accessory clock of proprietary design was added later. It was in the early 30s that car clocks started to transition from non-proprietary to proprietary. Clocks became specific to individual manufacturers and models.
jcs2001
Interesting I have found that the instrument site was probably incorrect. I now believe these clocks fit 1930-1931 studebaker and have seen dash images that corroborate this. Thanks for pressing on this. Russel is updating his site with the new information

They were largely non-proprietary and each of these would have been available in 1931. I have also seen a clock with a similar shaped "organic" bezel that fits in the dash..really not certain of the years or models its associated with. Do you know if your clock is mirror mount or dash mount?
Guest Roj
Mirror mount
jcs2001
Roj: any of the clocks listed above might work. do you know the number and spacing of holes for the mirror? Possible too there are no holes in which case you coulc make any of them work best Jim
