Incredible 1899 Columbia & Electric Vehicle Co Original Photograph Photo

I am offering an incredible original automobile photograph. The border is embossed Columbia and Electric Vehicle Co, Hartford Conn, USA - probably a factory promotional piece. There is a pen notation on the back indicating "Perci Maxim drove this car from Hartford to Boston Mass in 1899" and a second pen notation states "1899 actual date". The pen notations are in red and blue ink and may have been added much later than the actual image.

 

This is clearly a very early photograph that I believe was printed close to the date indicated. However, I am not a photography expert and there is a possibility this could have been taken at a slightly later date.

 

Measures approximately 5 3/4" by 7 1/2" overall. The actual image measures approximately 4 1/2" by 6 1/2". The image does have some light surface staining and wear throughout. THere is a small pin hole on the upper left and the corners / edges are chipped / rounded.
