RivNut Posted May 30, 2015 Share Posted May 30, 2015 Linda and I will be driving to St. Charles arriving there on Monday, June 29th. Anyone headed to St. Charles and going via the Kansas City area is welcome to join us. We have a couple of extra beds, and a really friendly dog; you'd be welcome to spend the night with us. Burgers and beverages on us Sunday night. Just reply and let us know when you'll be arriving. It's an 8-1/2 hour drive so we figure 10 - 11 hours to get there. We'll leave here at 8:00 AM and take US Hwy 36 across Missouri that takes us to Springfield, IL. It's about 20 minutes longer than I-80 but It's a four lane divided highway with little traffic and not many 18 wheelers. From Springfield, we'll take I-55 north to Joliet, then make our way to St. Charles. If you'd like to join us en route, let me know and we can work out where and when to meet.
