The Entrance information has arrived at some households so yours should be coming soon, to a mailbox near you.

Saturday, the show field will be open to the Public. Please remember, this is private property which our host Mr. Bulgari, has graciously opened up for the Buick Club of America.

No packet for us yet and Melanie was asking me about it last night. Glad to see they're on their way.

I'm both excited and nervous about driving the '41 Limited. It's about 425 miles for us each way, which doesn't seem like much until you're in a 75 year old car full of unobtainable parts. We're going to do a stopover in Hershey for an overnight stay, then finish the trip, but even Cleveland to Hershey is about 350 miles and 7 hours. The big limo has never missed a beat, but long drives like this always make me very nervous. Planning on leaving Thursday for a late Friday morning arrival. We'll just have the weekend there, but it's hard to take more time away from work.

Anyone else heading that way on Thursday want to convoy? We'll be taking 422 most of the way, which is a secondary road with 50-60 MPH speeds that should be just fine for the Limited. I hate hammering it on interstates, although it seems perfectly happy at 60 MPH. Fingers crossed for the journey...

Great to see so many fine Buicks registered, cant wait!!

On the new info on the main page of the BCA website for the show it states that the hours for trailer parking wed thru fri it states lot hours are 7am to 7pm,

does this mean that the lot is closed to all other than those hours, and is ther security on these lots during the closed hours or at all time

Also in a prior post it states the show field hours are 7am to 6pm wed-fri  on the new info as above it states 7am - 5pm  please clarify

Thanks again for all your doing

Marty

Updates for Saturday, a little more than a week out.

All the Maps you need, can be downloaded off the National Meet web site. Go there for all of the celebration Maps.

Buick will have a presence at the Buick Celebration with both Classic and new Concept cars; Thursday through Saturday.

Please make sure you have your BCA credentials at all times.  This is private property and until Saturday, open to BCA registered guests only.

For those going to Dorney Park Thursday, the Allentown police will escort us a single group, from the show site, to Dorney.

All PR information comes from our hosts; not the BCA.  They have been interviewed by the local newspaper-radio-tv outlets.

Looking forward to seeing everyone and all the great Buicks!

I am headed down I-80 east bound, leaving Tuesday a.m. pulling a trailer w/ my '39 in it.

Anybody going that direction?  Want to caravan going east?  I plan to get there in 2 1/2 days, making around 550 miles/day.

Send me a pm.

Allentown or bust!

Jeff, we are interested in attending the Dorney Park cruise-in but do not have admission tickets to the park. After our police escort from the show site (wow!) will be be able to purchase tickets at the Dorney gate, or are advance tickets still possible? Thanks! Anderson

Thanks for the info. I recieved my packet and sticker for the car and show yesterday. I can't find my membership card anywhere. How do I solve this problem?  I appreciate any help.

I did not see where you had to have your BCA Membership card.  That would be a problem for me as well.  I believe if you just put the special BCA static cling decal that you received on your windshield that will get you access to the show field.  But hopefully someone will clarify that.

Got my decal, id card, hotel reservations, dog to the 'dog hotel' and my teenage sons working on the car - cannot wait!

Thanks to all that have worked so hard putting this together!

Registration is closed at the moment, but the show on Saturday is open to anyone for $ 5.00 donation to World of Wheels.

Is it correct to assume I can see Mr. Bulgari's collection in addition to the show field?

Thanks

There is no need for your BCA membership card so let's put a halt to this thread right now.

You have your decal on your car, which will stay on your car during the week.

Everything else you will need, you can pick up at Registration at 801 N. Ellsworth Street..

As to Mr. B's. collection, as I have stated above, that will be open to BCA members, Wednesday-Friday.

Jeff, quick question.  I have not received my packet in the mail yet.  If I do not receive it before I leave for the show, can I park the trailer at the show and then go to registration or do I have to figure out where to park the truck/trailer near registration before I can drop off the trailer.  TX  John

I thought I might as well tack this on here. I am surprised no one has asked or raised a question before.  A friend, native to the area has advised me that there are two gas stations in the area that offer ethanol free gas.  One is the Sonoco at 3220 Airport Roads, near many hotels being used.  Another is Boyer's Junction Market at 122 Pricetown Road, Fleetwood, PA offering various octane ratings, but unbranded.  Hope this helps.

John,

Good post. Sunoco also has high octane leaded fuel. Open 9-5 Mon-Friday.

Just this morning I was trying to print the maps that are on the website, and I was having trouble with them printing properly. They were coming up much too large, like 15-16 in wide and not autosizing down to print on a standard page. I was able to download the file and open it with Photoshop and resized it, and then it printed fine.

Anyone else having this issue?

Keith

From what I read in the Allentown Morning Call, Saturday show visitors will only be able to view a few cars from Mr. Bulgari's collection.  Can anyone verify if this is true?  Kind of disappointing if it is as this is the only day I can attend.
