Guest mikeburch
I have this pair of barn fresh, "BROWN", Bi-Lite Tail Lights. Are they 1929 HUDSON ?The pair can be put together for one good one.One has a good, original, unbroken, "Bi-Lite" marked, "STOP" Tail Light Lens and the other has a good, unbroken license lens and internals. Both have pretty nice bezels. One body has some pieces missing. The other body only has a couple stress cracks. Is anyone familiar with this handsome Tail Light ?They will be available to get back on the road again. They will clean and shine up. One on e-bay right now, claiming to be for a 1929 HUDSON - ESSEX ?...331545606213It's price is starting at $125.00 ! I'll sell mine for about 1/3 of that. Guest mikeburch
dpcdfan ...............................Yes, that is exactly, the same as mine. Mine will clean up to look about like that one. I think that mine have both been spray painted, black, at one time, in the distant past. Mine does not have a broken license light lens, either.I am going to let an AACA member have mine for about 1/3 the price of the one on e-bay.Thank you very much ! I really appreciate it.I will edit my ad to show the new knowledge. Thanks again, mikeburch Edited May 28, 2015 by mikeburch (see edit history)
roysboystoys
I had a 29 Hudson sedan with that light , but mine didn't have the " Stop" in the lens .I guess mine was changed sometime, but I don't recall others I looked at having the Stop.It was a long time ago ! Guest mikeburch
roysboystoys ............................................Thank you for your insight.I think this lens has been with the light since day 1, but, of course, I can't document that. Perhaps some 1929 Hudson owners will chime in.Thanks again, mikeburch
dpcdfan
Mike… glad I could help. I also have a bunch of parts I can't ID which I'll be posting here. Hopefully I can get some help from knowledgeable AACA members.
