tommie b
Hi all any one up dating there brake system to disc and power booster? Any companies out here that they do for 58"s. Also are the 57 Oldsmobile the same? Thank you
rocketraider
Check with scarebird.com or Stainless Steel Brakes. If anyone makes front disc conversions for 58 they'd be the ones. Scarebird has rear disc conversions for 57-64 Olds/Pontiac rear ends. A long-ago member here, Mike Pemberton, was doing some pretty good and simple disc conversions. Not sure if he still is- that was several years back. You can try searching for his old posts.
D Yaros
While I shall let the experts advise, I will state my understanding any such conversion eliminates the possibility of using the factory wheels/hubcaps.

rocketraider
You'll have to do some finagling as the full caps used those clips and will be too small diameter to use on any wheel that will accommodate disc brakes. A guy at 2009 OCA Nats had a 1960 Ninety Eight he'd put 15" wheels on, and he had attached the 14" wheel covers to a 15" trim ring. You may have to do the same to keep your 58 caps.
