coupekid
does anyone have instructions how to tension 57 58 buick trico wiper cables located under the dash ?? are they adjustable ?
Guest Koala
I think that they are the same as my 56. No need to pull anything apart, you just push down on the wiper spindle (where the arm attaches).Simple really, you may need to wiggle the wiper a a little.Koala
coupekid
are you saying that... by pressing down on the spindle swing arm allows me to easily fit 4 cables that are tightly looped around the spindle under the dash ...i have 3 cables set around the spindle & seated in their seats.. trying to seat the 4th cable in its seating is difficult & is only half inch from its boss ..im guessing i have to seat the cable head then try pry cable over & onto spindle somehow

coupekid
ok it seems that the motor wants to turn only when its not mounted onto base arm that located on firewall ... so i took the wiper motor apart & it looks like the paddle has some damage to its rubber edging .. no wonder wipers hardly moved ....gonna need a new paddle or wiper motor ..
