Guest myke2020
Hello,Is this a 1927 or 1928 buick?Master Six or what type? 95% sure that is a 1928 New Brunswick license plate. The bumper has 3 sections, which I think is a big key to what year or type it is? Thank you for any help! nzcarnerd
The bumper is of the type usually seen on 1929 Buicks but I think the car is a 1928 Oakland, even though the radiator is indistinct.
Leif Holmberg
If you are sure it`s a Buick, it`s a 1928 in that case ,just becuse of the head lights shape.Leif in Sweden.
Guest myke2020
Thank you for the extra info! I am not positive it is a buick. A 2 door 1930s one was identified in another photo that the same person may have owned, I was only guesssing he may have traded in at the same dealer. Dave Mellor NJ
I don't know as much as the Buick masters but that 3 bar bumper is a Buick feature. I can't find any Oakland with one. Here's a 27 Buick.
Leif Holmberg
Dave.Take a look at the head lights instead, that tells it`s a 1928 if it`s a Buick?.The picture are to bad to tell what car it`s.Leif in Sweden.
nzcarnerd
Yes this car probably is a 1928 Buick. I was confused by the style of visor, which Oakland and Pontiac used in 1927-8 but I think Buick also used it in 1928 only. I am not sure when Buick began to supply bumpers as a factory option but that three bar item seems to be mostly on 1929s and a few 1928s. Some 1929 cars have a two bar bumper. The bumper on the 1927 car above is different (maybe an accessory item?) to the three bar bumper on 1928-9 models which have a distinct curve in the middle
Dave Mellor NJ
Here's a 28. I see what Leif and Nerdy are saying about the lights and visor.
