ron hausmann Posted April 22, 2015 Share Posted April 22, 2015 Got several Kissels out this weekend to play together, so posting pictures. The blonde, the red-head, and the dark beauty. The blonde is a 1923 Kissel Model 6-45 Gold Bug Speedster. She purred. The red-head is a 1923 Kissel Model 6-55 Brougham Opera sedan. She was very tempermental and stopped and started like a bad child does. And the dark beauty is really a 1927 Chevrolet Coach. She was an invalid. She was my first restoration/car.Ron Hausmann P.E. ron hausmann Posted June 2, 2015 Author Share Posted June 2, 2015 All,Two of my other Kissels are currently "inert" and unable to come out - but soon they will be. The pictured blue one is a 1924 Kissel Model 6-55 Victoria Coupe - the only one that survives. It will be driving at this year's St. John's Concours de Elegance as an unrestored original. The other one being restored is va 1918 Kissel Model 6-38 All-Year Sedanette. - the only one that survives and possibly the only Kissel All-Year bodied car that has both tops of all years. We have the largest collection of Kissels in the world, after the Wisconsin Automotive Museum, where Kissels were made. ron hausmann Posted July 2, 2015 Author Share Posted July 2, 2015 All,I'm attaching pictures of two of my 1923 Kissel cars which attended the formal groundbreaking ceremony last week for the M1 Concourse Project in Pontiac Michigan. This is a "car condominium" ultimately of 325 garages varying from 600 to 6000 sf for car collectors, enthusiasts, and auto related folks to use as car man-caves. It will have a 1.5 mile high speed race track, currently being built as well. I bought one and will house my Kissels there. Over 50 Lamborginni's, Porshes, Ferrarris, Corvettes, and assorted other beauties were there with my two Kissels. Google M1 Concourse if you are interested. Great idea. 1912Staver Posted July 2, 2015 Share Posted July 2, 2015 (edited) An interesting concept, but it seems quite pricy for the square footage. The test track is nice for those with an interest in vintage racing or the Porsche / Ferrarri set. I would think that in many parts of the U.S you could have a much bigger shop and house on your own land for similar or less cost. The track is possibly a big draw to some but not so much for most vintage car people. Great Kissels !! one of the overlooked by most, gems. Too bad they are so rare.
