Mahoning63
If interest... at the PackardInfo site we've been discussing what a Hudson-Packard merger might have looked like had Barit convinced Nance in August, 1953 to tie the knot. One thought was to make the target aggressive, the 1955 model year with Hudson making completely redesigned step-down unibodies and Packard making the V8s and Ultramatic. Hudson would get its 308 and the new 320 V8 while Packard would get the 352 V8 and torsion-level suspension exclusively. Both would share a common body shell. Here are a few work-ups based on the 1954 Packard Panther show car, a design starting point.
