Guest Dale in Vancouver
Just installed complete new system, including their hanger kit. I know there has been some discussion on the hangers, but I'm sure glad I bought them. The appalling mess I had rather defies description, suffice it to say a baling wire lashup would have been an improvement ! Fortunately all the frame mounting points were OK, Waldrons hangers made the installation straightforward. Dale.
Seafoam65
Is the Waldron's exhaust kit you installed made of stainless steel or aluminized pipe?I assume it all bolted together with no bending adjustments needed?
Guest Dale in Vancouver
Hi Winston. I contemplated stainless but decided the extra cost was a bit too much for my budget. Also I think it may have a different sound, and I wanted it to be quiet. The driver's side was a bit of a fiddle, but after cutting app. 1" of the front pipe to bring the resonator slightly forward it all went in very nicely. Cheers, Dale. Guest puceriver
Hi I just installed a Waldrons exhaust on my 65 (not finished yet) and the pipe over the axel sitsvery close to the tires. Is the location of the muffler with the 2 pipes over and under or side by side?
Guest Dale in Vancouver
Hi. I recall the over axle pipes being a fairly close fit, but found I could get them to clear the frame and tires OK with a bit of fiddling. I left the muffler loose 'til I got the four pipes lined up and in to place. Hope this helps . Cheers, Dale.
Guest puceriver
That's exactly what I did and rotated the muffler until everything lined up right.
slosteve
I am contemplating a Waldrons system for my '65. I like quiet. But I recollect some of the cars of the '60's with stock exhaust had this awful 'whoosh' type of sound under hard acceleration that sounded very restrictive. Sorta like a jet exhaust but with no thrust, if that makes sense. And I don't recall if the Riv's of that time sounded like that. So I would like to know from the guys that have installed them if they sound too restrictive or not; in your opinion of course. Guest Dale in Vancouver
Hi Steve. Can't say I've noticed the sound you describe, but then "hard acceleration" is somewhat subjective. All I would say is I'm very satisfied with the system they supplied, and I feel we are lucky to have Waldrons. Cheers, Dale.

Guest Dale in Vancouver
Hi Chris. I bought a complete stock system (Not SS) which came with the aluminized steel muffler.
mt65riv
Any chance of posting a video of the sound like the muffler companies do? I looked at the middle one because I would think the stock one is too quiet. Thanks! Mike
Guest Dale in Vancouver
Sorry Mike, but I haven't even mastered posting photos. The stock muffler is really quiet, yes, but I prefer that ( Old age has a lot to answer for ! ) Dale.
