Just a word from the organizers .. The tours are set up and they are:

AACA Museum

Martin Guitar Historic Bethlehem and America on Wheels

Liberty Bell, Independence Hall and Simeone Museum

Clover Hill Winery, Josh Early Candles and Allentown Farmers Market

Covered Bridge tour.

Still waiting on buses, so no cost set yet.

There also will be plenty of "Do it on your own" attractions for you to see.

"im cancelling out on Springfield (save my money to go to Allentown)."

This is sad. I'm very sorry to see this club violating one of its long-standing unwritten rules, and that is that you don't advertise and promote a national meet that's nearly two years off until after this year's national meet has been advertised and held. It steals the thunder of this year's meet and helps to ensure that its attendance will not be as big as it could be. If a local chapter were putting on the Springfield meet, they would be hopping mad and rightfully so.

Pete, I think they're getting around it by not calling it a national. It seems they can break all the rules for this particular show. Money talks.

Call it what you want, it has the same effect. I know the 50th Anniversary Celebration of the BCA is a big deal, but so was the 100th Anniversary of Buick in 2003, and the 100th Anniversary of GM in 2008, both held in Flint. They were big events and everyone knew they were coming years in advance, but I don't recall them being promoted until after the previous National Meets were over.
