Before I bought it I had researched and read that this distributor replaced the old part number of the 1936 distributor. So you are buying this distributor from the part number that is on the ID plate. It does fit also the 1949 (50&70series) 1950 (40-50-70 series) and 1951 (40-50-70 series). #1110815 1J11 less cap and rotor.
