My first Buick that I drove to work was a 1956 Special 2 dr sedan . ( 1961 )

It had the stock 322 with added four barrel and 56 dual exhaust manifolds  and switch pitch DYNAFLOW "

The story behind the one  wire wheel is funny ! I work at an ESSO station at nights and Saturday .

A guy pulls in the station in a 58 white LIMITED CONV .

I only had three wire wheels at the time . HE said " WANT TO SELL THOSE WHEELS ?"

I said " NO , I'm looking for another one ".

He opened his trunk and said " I buy your three or you buy my wheel !"

That wheel cost me a full weeks part time pay $ 30.00  but I had my 4th wire !

WOW,  hot red!!!  You've truly been into Buicks A while haven't you. I worked at a Texaco station part time nights and Saturdays in highschool. Did a lot of work on my '57 Chevy between customers and bought my '67 Chevelle from my boss. Hope to meet you and that '55 Special Century some day.  Thanks for sharing Bill!

Guilty as charged guys. But if it helps my reputation any, after leaving a couple of teeth in the steering wheel of the Chevelle then spending 3 years in the USMC, the first car I bought upon returning home was a ‘54 Buick and had one ever since. Hope that helps?

I consider tri-5 Chevys to be 'gateway drugs', when it comes to classic Buicks!

Pilgrim and Epad's pastel motels immediately made me think of those empty nester coffee shops from the early 1990's. Those women all drove Volvos and painted the shops those same colors.
