I'm sure with all the supercharged Reatta gurus here, that this has been looked into before. Some bits that I found about the 3800 say that the supercharger & hardware from the L67 can bolt right on to the LN3. Now, I know that the alternator & power steering pump are relocated on the the L67 and this would have to be accounted for along with numerous other bits but I was just curious if anyone has any info on this. p.s - I have read most of the posts on the forums about the Series I swap, so I'm just looking for any info on boosting the original engine. Wonder if you could reprogram the data stream (near the top of memory in the PROM) to match a 1988-1990 Reatta. I will let you know if I have any questions.Mongeonman - I agree, great deal, but a little far for me.I'm more interested in doing it for the learning experience, than for performance reasons. I've just learned how to work on cars a bit (trade school) over the last few years, and I like having projects lined up the keep learning more. I thought I might pick up pieces as I found them at a reasonable price, and squirrel them away until I have everything I need. I found a 95' Riviera at the local pick-a-part. Stock will trigger many error codes without the trans inputs.I will have Ryan at gmtuners.com remove thime if need be, but the trans codes, at least for the 89 set once and then do not come back up. I am doing a different configuration for the turbo setup, hopefully simpler than the original setup, which I still have. I found a '95 Riviera with a blown tranny and cooling problems. I can buy the whole car for about $500. I have an '88 Reatta. I want to transplant the supercharger and components to the LN3. Guest Rattea Posted October 6, 2015 Share Posted October 6, 2015 This summer {with the help of Wm, Rule and his "hobby" shop} I installed a 1995 supercharged park avenue engine into my convertible. Sinister Performance built the chip to my specs {deleted unwanted stuff like the EGR system, etc.}. The whole swap was pretty much-----"plug and play". No problems what so ever. My $265.00 engine {Phil's Auto Salvage} lost a piston at 250 miles so I dropped in a 1995 Riviera engine. Again from Phil's------$50.00 exchange. I just got home from a 1,300 mile ride around Colorado's high country and I'm really satisfied with this mod. Most of my driving is done above 7,500 feet above sea level so supercharge was my answer. Anyone capable of changing their own work can do this mod---almost plug and play. Oh, I don't have to smoke my tires to prove my manhood so the 'weak' trans won't be a problem for me.
