keiser31
There's a place called "The Big M", an all Mercury wrecking yard in Williams, California. They may have a website and they may know.

Dave Mellor NJ
I think they might be 58-60. In those years Mercury had a famous 430 hi-po engine with trips that put out over 400 hp. They claimed the title to the first production car with 400 or more horses(58). A few years ago I was at an auction in Mannheim,Pa for the former owner of Universal tires (I think her name was Ann Klein). Among a whole parking lot of parts they had two of these beautiful engines and they got big money. Jim Rohn
Did they have valve cover oil fill back then? I am thinking maybe mid 60's because of the breather and the valve cover oil fill, but not sure
Dave Mellor NJ
Try looking up Mercury Super-Marauder
Guest Jim_Edwards
The shape, PCV valve gasket, and "Mercury" script has mid to late 1960s written all over them. Probably from a Cyclone GT of the era.JimNot a real good shot of the Cyclone's valve cover in the photo below but good enough to see the similarity Edited June 17, 2011 by Jim_Edwards (see edit history)
