36 C-10

Hello, Brought the C 10 home last tuesday and have been playing with it, no serious work until a 48 New Yorker is done. The car is mostly together except for the engine and transmission are in pieces. I took the front seat cushion out to check the floor, battery anything else under there. I figured out the verticle height adjustment but cannot get the seat to release to slide front and back. Looks like the seat has to be all the way front to service the battery and I hope it goes back farther than it is because I can hardly get my left foot between the cowl and the seat. Someone along the way was working on the seat frame, not very nice work.

I need rod, main bearings, and tappets for a complete engine and I haven't found the gas pedal yet.

Any and all information will be greatly appreciated, I have worked on quite a few Chryslers but nothing this old and had never even sat in an Airflow before this one.

Man, that's gonna be a nice one when done! You might try to get a hold of Russell Parker in the WPC Club he has Airflow stuff and information.

I got the seat to move, I had to hurt myself more than I wanted to last night, but it was all the way back, not a lot of leg room up front but lots in the back. Vacuumed the carpet and upholstry and cleaned the kick panels and it looks pretty good.

What is the button between the light switches center of dash above radio? What does the center knob control on the radio?

Hello old car friends, I got the Airflow Club newsletters and other information today, I'm going to read all I can before asking too many questions. We have a 48 New Yorker almost ready for the road and don't need any more confusion in the shop with scattered car parts so for now the 36 C-10 is just sitting, occasionally I clean something just to see results.

I am hoping someone can fill me in on any information known about our car I figured with low production numbers and the uniqueness of these cars someone might know the history of our car, the serial number is #7017006 and the engine #C-10 3158 the engine and transmission are out of the car, the engine was bored .040 over and most parts are there to reassemble it.

The car was last registered in or around Rochester, New York in 1980. If anyone can shed some of our car's history it would be appreciated.
