AACA Library
Came across this photo while researching early Glidden Tours. Writing on back reads "Gibson Auto Co., Louisville, KY. Early 1900s"
Dave Mellor NJ
I think that's a pre-T Ford.
keiser31
I think that's a pre-T Ford.Yes it is. Looks to be a Model N Ford. There are a few cars in the back, too. Edited February 2, 2011 by keiser31 (see edit history)
Lozierman
Not a Model N Ford. The fenders are not correct for an N, but are probably correct for a model R or even an S. This would make it no older than a 1907 Ford.
Chris Paulsen
I believe it is a Model R Ford -there don't appear to be splash aprons-probably 1907. The other car looks like a 1907 Premier. Both being new cars, this fits.Chris
Steve29
Look at the accessories mounted on the board behind the Ford that I assume are for sale by the dealer. I couldn’t tell what some of the things are but I see a bumper, acetylene tanks, two speedometers (both Stewart?), what I believe may be a roll-back brake, rear foot rest, tire pump, acetylene light perhaps for mounting on the running board, and something I think may be an oiler.
