Guest klimshelf
I made a silkscreen print from an old photo plate I found when cleaning out the gas station dad ran for 37 years. I'm trying to date the image and wondered if anyone could tell me the make, model and year of the car at the pumps. You can see the full print here: http://www.horsekeeping.com/prints/klimesh-calmarsuperservicex.htmThanks,Richard Edited January 4, 2011 by klimshelf bad image code (see edit history)

Guest klimshelf
Did you notice the hand crank wringer for wringing out the chamois to wash the windows? Later on we got an electric wringer washer that we rolled out every morning. Had to change the water a couple times a day in the Iowa summer because it turned to bug soup. Ben Bruce aka First Born
Some stations still used those hand wringers into the '50s. I have used them myself. Ben
