Just returned home after over 4500mls of adventure driving the Electra through a couple of states. I will post more on the trip itself with photos later for I have to leave for another trip to the Tjech Republic in a couple of hours.
For now, the photos of the last day of the Buick Nationals which was in fact the goal of my trip to the USA:

Rob,

After all you went through to get there I am really glad you enjoyed yourself. On the next National meet you had better put a bicycle in the trunk just to be safe.

and with your luck, be sure to bring a spare tire for the bike. My sentiments too, glad you got there and enjoyed the rest of the show.

I take it you got a Driven Award right?

What is that device on the driver's side fender of the Riviera? It looks like an automatic dimmer unit, but I've never seen one mounted on the outside before.

No man treats a motorcar as foolishly as he treats another human being. When the car will not go, he does not attribute its annoying behavior to sin, he does not say, "You are a wicked motorcar and I shall not give you any more petrol until you go." He attempts to find out what is wrong and set it right. – Bertrand Russel
