Franklin 9B 1922

I have attached a picture of my distributor I do not beleve it is the original Atwater Kent. Does any one know what it is. If it is different I presume the gap should be different than the Atwater Kent. The coil is a Delco 6 volt. The car was fitted with an OE-1 carb that was used on series 10. ANy help will be greatly appreciated.

My mistake the coil is 12 volts. What should he points gap be

be, the manual calls for .08 on the series 9. If this is Delco should the gap be .15 to .20 ?

That looks like a Delco distributor. I put one on my dad's 10B because AW caps became too hard to get. It's a nice upgrade. I needed points for my '32, and they were on the shelf at Pep Boys. Ask for parts for a 1929-53 Chevy six.

Also he car ought to be 12 volt, so the coil is probably overloaded (unless someone put a resistor in series to lower the voltage).

I forget how I set up the distributor, but the specs from a Chevy should work ok. Let me know if you can't find them. I have an old tune-up manual somewhere that has everything in it.
