THIS IS MY STORY WITH THIS BUICK REATTA:

My dad bought this car for me just after I had graduated from high school. Before I ever saw it, my dad told me that it was a buick and that it was an 89' - this was in 2002 and to me it didn't sound very cool.

When we went to go see the car, I was actually impressed by the initial appearance of the car... I had never seen a buick like that before! When I saw the star treck age electronics in a 1989 car I was blown away. I was hooked.

For the next two years, I drove the car to and from college on holidays which was 500 miles away. I fell in love with the car and all of the cool features.

After some time went on, I had saved up some money and bought myself another, newer car to drive back and forth to school, not because I ever worried about breaking down with it - because it was actually the most reliable car I've ever owned (and it has 360+ with the original engine? - that's impressive!) but actually because I didn't want to put any more huge amounts of miles on the car.

When I decided to take this other car back up to school, I had a spot arranged in my mom's garage. It sat there for two years. My mom then got with some guy who took over the garage and my Reatta ended up out back in our barn. Not the worst place, it's dry and protected but it's not as nice as the garage. It sat out there until this spring when it was moved to my father-in-laws who is holding on to it for me until I can sell it. I'm living in Illinois now but the car is still in MI)

I had always hoped that I could take the time to polish the car back into the gem that it is but I just got married, have a kid on the way and unfortunately am not very mechanically inclined. This car does need some minor work but it has always run like a champ and I hate to see this car go to someone that doesn't appreciate it for what it is. I hope that someday I can buy another one but now I just don't have the time or the money.
