rivgs
The Riviera Indy Pace car show car sold at Barrett-Jackson last night for 20K. Not a bad price for a GM show car.
Jim65Riv
So, where are you going to put it, Kevin?
rivgs
I just bought the 96 convert, If I had known the Indy car was going that cheap. I would have waited and bid on that.
RivNut
http://www.barrett-jackson.com/application/search/carlist_Details.aspx?&In_LotNumber=516.1Should have bought both of them. Then you could be our "traveling exhibit."

BadgerRivFan
Looks like this car was added to the collection of Jeff Brashares in Dublin Ohio. RivNut
If this is the car you're referencing; it's not the pace car. This car is one of the white "parade" cars. I didn't see any reference to any cars on this registry that weren't either white or red.1G4AZ67Y3DE404696 X X JEFFREY BRASHARESOFFICIAL INDY 500 PARADE CAR DUBLIN / OH / 35,021[if this were in the columned format, the firs X desginates a V8, the other X designates white.]The pace car is two toned brown and cream with the dual turbo V6Ed
rivgs
Jayson, I believe GM still owns that car, it is an actual pace car ( the is no top ) The BJ car was a display car with a top, done in the pace car color sceme. The BJ description states it is a 3.8L car but no mention of a Turbo ( or two ).
RivNut
Jayson,If you have any pictures that were taken of the PACE car when it was in Eureka Springs or Galena, you'll notice that that car doesn't have the white lettering across the top of the windshield like the one does in the BJ photo. I hadn't noticed it until Kevin pointed it out, but the pictures of the car that I took at Eureka Springs shows that the molding across the top of the windshield does not have a place for a soft top to clamp to it.Ed
Big Don
I believe the car sold in Vegas has a single turbo - I believe it is a production Buick turbo setup. I happened to see it in Michigan before the auction and this is what I recall.
