This is a beautiful car we bought from a widow in Wellsburg, WV in 2000. Her husband bought this car new and paid cash when he retired from Wheeling Steel Co. They used it to take a second honeymoon trip to Las Vegas.

When we first saw the car it was breathtaking. The paint was in very nice shape of a medium blue with a matching blue landau top. The hood had been professionally repainted. There was no rust. The widow said they used it only in summer and stored it inside in winter. It had been dealer undercoated. The exterior chrome was excellent. We knew all we would have to do is professionally paint the roof and trunk and put on new tires to have a car that looked as if it came off a show room floor!

The car had eighty some thousand miles on it and had good care. We were familiar with these cars and knew it had unlimited miles to go with proper maintenance. We were thrilled to get it!

For the past eight years this has been a project car for us just to see how close we could restore it to its original condition. We purchased NOS and excellent used parts from all over the country. We also paid close attention to the engine and running gear of this car. We replaced and rebuilt many components.

We found a good local shop that specializes in older and collector cars. They did all the work to our complete satisfaction. We changed oil every 2000 to 3000 miles and in the transmission every 20,000 miles. Our shop said this was the best engine of the Riviera series and is in “new condition”, a V-8 307. It has a relatively new exhaust system with a resonator for that “Buick Sound”. It is one of Mrs. Diener’s favorite cars. We have four of these cars, two 1985s, one 1984, and one 1983. At our age it is time to cut down,

The car has 127,000 miles and is ready to be used as a driver* or a collector car. It is ready for a 500 mile road trip with no preparation. This car has a lot of valuable collector parts and options including a nice light blue sport steering wheel. We have decided to price this car at a special value of $3900 so that it will sell quickly and find a good home. We have complete service records and can send a summary on request. We have spent $6500 restoring and maintaining this beautiful car over the past eight years.
