NTX5467 Posted November 26, 2007 Share Posted November 26, 2007 I believe you'll find that it's a "satin" black rather than a "shiney" black or a "flat" black. "High Heat" Krylon Black might be a decent match as it's more satin than gloss. GM Black Glossy Engine Enamel (which matches the underhood "black" on accessory brackets and air cleaners back then--being more "satin" than "glossy") might be another option.Remember that the paint which got on those items (over the chrome plating) was kind of "hit and miss" in application, sometimes being lighter or thinner in some places than others, depending upon the angle the spray gun was aimed during the painting process and how well the "mask" was placed on the part.Just some thoughts . . .NTX5467 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
