JO BO
What are the chances of finding an engine/transmission (4 cylinder) for a 1909 Franklin D touring? I know very slim but I'm putting out the call. Thanks JO BO
Steve Braverman
Probably very, very slim. There was someone selling a complete model G chassis in Hemmings a few years ago. I assume with the drive train, but I have no idea what became of it. It must be out there somewhere.Do you have the rest of the car?
JO BO
Thanks That's what I thought. I am considering buying it. JO BO
Steve Braverman
My father has a nice 1911 Model G touring that he wants to sell. See my earlier post.
JO BO
That's a pretty nice looking car. My brother has his heart set on a barrel hood model but if this doesn't work out we may be coming your way. I will contact him to take a look at it also. Thanks again JO BO
Steve Braverman
I used to prefer the barrel hoods also, but the Renault hoods really grow on you after a while

Everything has been done to concours quality thus far, and this will make a super brass era Franklin when completed. I also have many extra parts, almost enough to do a 2nd car!
