jerrykiefer
Reatta has sat for about a month. The little ABS light that comes on and goes off when you start the car is staying on. Brakes seem the same. I know this has been discussed before. Can someone direct me to the threat or tell me where to look?ThanksJerry90 convert Edited April 27, 2015 by jerrykiefer addition (see edit history)
Guest Corvanti
can you confirm it's the yellow light, not the red one? if so, this should help: http://reattaowner.com/roj/component/content/article/84-suspension-a-brakes/brakes-electrical/313-wheel-sensor-troubleshootingAFAIK, Daves89 still has front sensors for sale. DAVES89
When you read the codes under the dash they are "cleared" If the problem is still present a "new" code is tripped once the car is started/ driven.
jerrykiefer
Got it, fix the problem then clear the codes or they'll instantly reset as currents. Thanks!
jerrykiefer
Found the problem, passenger side wheel sensor reads open, checked the drivers side and it's 1100 ohm so the codes don't lie. Thanks for the help.
DAVES89
Good for you. In my opinion the best way to check the sensor leads is to first do a visual inspection of the leads to see if they are damaged or cracked due to age. Then get your ohmmeter and check the lead at the connection under the hood [The fronts are usually the ones that have gone bad]. This is the way I check all my leads now when I troubleshoot. I even have a G.M. test box that I no longer use as this is an easier way...
