You likely may not be able to recoup your investment. This car is definitely better than most this color and with this color interior. I'm sure you can find the small parts needed to make repairs. The big deal is the ABS brakes. It most likely has the original accumulator and that HAS TO BE REPLACED. Otherwise much more damage can be caused to the pump and associated wiring. ALSO the brake fluid MUST be thoroughly flushed throughout the brake system. Brake fluid naturally absorbs WATER and after 25 years, you can be sure it is contaminated greatly. There could be many other things, but I'll stop here. Guest BobFitz
Is the odometer working?Cracking leather all over is a big negative on a 15k mi. car.I paid less for my DOHC and much less for my SOHC both with ~50k mi. with good leather.I would pass if it were offered to me at $5000.Bob Edited April 26, 2015 by BobFitz (see edit history)
ghostymosty
I think it is very overpriced for condition and doubt he will find a knowledgeable buyer willing to pay his price. On the other hand, he may find several 'new to the TC' buyers who might pay his price so waiting for him to come down might cause you to lose out on the car. I would personally consider this to be a no more than $3000 car due to the amount of money needed to get it back to a drivable condition. On the low mileage, make sure the odometer actually works, these cars are well known for stuck odometers and a common sign is a trip odometer stuck at 0 miles.
