Restorer32
It is refreshing to paint a car in the original colors and with the original color scheme. The colors are actually lighter green and a very dark green which appears almost black in certain lighting conditions. Guesses as to make and year? Pics to follow shortly. That curved reveal will reveal what it is.I think the curved reveal reveals that it is a high end car, as many of them used it.MarmonLocomobileStearnsPierce ArrowPackard

Restorer32
No, not LaSalle, nor Marmon, Locomobile, Stearns, Pierce Arrow or Packard though it does have a tenuous connection to one make on this list.

Durant Mike
Looks very similar to my Durant body? If it isn't it's made by the same company, trim lines are almost exact.
Restorer32
Ding Ding Ding we have a winner! 1928 Durant. Give that man a cigar.
Durant Mike
Restoring mine as we speak. Doing a frame off on my 1928 Durant Model 65 4 door sedan. Looks very close to the color Ambatta Green that they offered in 1928. I'll be doing mine in two tone Ambatta Green trimmed in a lighter green. My car was originally the same color, built in Elizabeth, New Jersey, January 1928. They're great cars! Need any help with the restoration, jump over to the Durant Motors Automobile Club web site and post on that forum. Also for any parts needed. Is the owner a Durant Club member? My body is almost ready to go into paint soon. I've finished the frame, gas tank and I'm working on the engine now. Do you have the right color for the engine? Looks Good! Restorer32
We're only responsible for the paint work. I'm sure the owner is a club member. He did the wood himself and did an excellent job. He very carefully documented the colors as he stripped the body.
Durant Mike
Can't wait to see the finished product. I have a paint chip chart for the 1928 Durant. I'll have to keep watch and if he isn't I'll recruit him. We Durantonians stick together!
