1927Chevy
Guys and GalsMy old Chevys have linkage that controls distributor position for start and run, retard to start advance to run. My recent acquisition 1923 EK Touring is missing that linkage, located at the bottom of the column is the throttle linkage and the part that the distributor linkage would connect to, someone got some advice, or pictures of what controls the distributor? I have not noted a swing arm on distributor, perhaps my old eyes just do not see it.Ken

bifda
Do you have Wagner or Delco distributor? One or the other did not have a manual spark advance.Robert KapteynMy 1926 has Wagner electrical equipment and doesn't have any advance lever on the column. My 1928 and 1930 cars both have Delco and they do have the advance lever.Wayne
1927Chevy
bifdathank you for you guidance. the notes from prior owner indicate Remy 626-F. I am thinking I need the linkage, I had to find these parts for my 27 chevy touring car. good pictures would be big help. I am thinking about using a choke cable for a while and closing the hood. anyone stumble across any of these parts please advise.Ken
