ricosan
Hey Guys,I've been searching everywhere for these studs for the canvas grommets on my convertible top. They have a shaft diameter of approximately 5/16" and are 1/2" long. It is threaded on the other side with a wood screw. I've searched everywhere I can think of and I've been unable to find them. I thought I found them a couple of months ago at restorationspecialties.com but they no longer have them.Anyone know a source?ricosan

joe_padavano
Have you tried Lebaron Bonney? Warning - their on-line catalog has the slowest, the most annoying gratuitous graphics I've seen on the web. Talk about user-unfriendly.
Gary_Ash
They should be "Lift The Dot" fasteners from Scovill. Try Googling for suppliers near you or on-line sources.
Friartuck
Lift the Dot is a different shape post. I believe these are called Cinch brand top fasteners. Available from Snyders:http://www.snydersantiqueauto.com/modeltparts/opencartopsThis document offers a wealth if info:http://www.antiqueautotophardware.com/Identifying%20Antique%20Fasteners.pdfLeBaron-Bonney also offers Cinch if that is the correct fastener:https://www.lebaronbonney.com/cart/products.php?Cc=FAS12&page=2 Edited April 13, 2015 by Friartuck (see edit history)
